Job summary

LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to support on‑prem IT infrastructure in virtualized environments and provide second‑level engineering support for enterprise cybersecurity services. The role emphasizes security best practices, patching strategies, and operations documentation.

You will collaborate with network and application teams to design, configure, test, and deploy infrastructure services, ensuring uptime and compliance in a dev/test/prod setting.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience deploying and managing on‑prem IT infrastructures.
• Experience with large‑scale virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper‑V) and storage dependencies.
• Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise backup and storage solutions.
• Hardening enterprise environments using DISA STIGs with tools like OpenSCAP or SCC.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
• B.S. in Computer Science required.

Responsibilities

• Requirements development, analysis and supporting trade studies.
• Design storage requirements to support virtual deployments of applications.
• Build, configure and deploy monitoring across highly virtualized environments.
• Implement DISA STIG compliance for new infrastructure.
• Provide oversight and execution strategy for multiple infrastructure initiatives.
• Support deployment of monitoring solutions like ScienceLogic or HP OpenView.
• Work with Commvault backup in virtual environments.
• Assist with licensing management and ticketing systems.
• Document configurations, SOPs, engineering diagrams and test plans.
