Job summary

LMI is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to design, integrate, validate, and sustain enterprise IT capabilities across a network of secure facilities. The role spans networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, applications, data, and operations to ensure a secure, resilient, and supportable system for a fast-paced prototype effort.

Responsibilities include defining system boundaries and interfaces, translating needs into measurable requirements, and developing current-to-target state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing, integrating, testing, or sustaining complex enterprise IT systems, including in classified environments.
• Experience managing system requirements, interfaces, configurations, and technical documentation.
• Experience integrating capabilities across network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, application, identity, or data domains.
• Experience in SCIF or other accredited classified environments with multi-enclave systems and security boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Enumerate and document the technical baseline across geographically dispersed sites.
• Translate mission needs into clear, measurable system requirements.
• Develop current-state, transition-state, and target-state system designs.
• Define system boundaries, interfaces, data flows, and performance requirements.
• Conduct analyses and trade studies on capability, security, and lifecycle impacts.
• Develop and execute integration, verification, validation, and acceptance plans.
• Maintain system configurations, baselines, and documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, operators, security personnel, and stakeholders.
• Develop automated methods for provisioning, testing, monitoring, and recovery.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
