Job summary

Ladders is seeking an IT Systems Engineer II to own critical internal systems across collaboration, identity, and automation platforms. You will partner with IT Support, Security, and cross-functional teams to improve reliability, streamline requests, and enable scalable work practices in a modern, AI-enabled workplace.

The role emphasizes strengthening access controls, compliance processes, and automation while collaborating with a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT systems engineering experience in enterprise IT.
• Experience administering core IT platforms (identity, productivity, collaboration, source control, and messaging).
• IaC experience with Terraform or GitOps methodologies.
• AI-first mindset with enabling AI tools and workflows.
• Automation building using identity and collaboration tools.
• Strong IAM knowledge: SAML, SCIM, LDAP, OAuth 2.0/OIDC.
• Understanding of security/compliance and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary systems administrator for key tools and manage integrations with other platforms
• Serve as an escalation point for IT Support and troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Triage and handle inbound IT infrastructure requests, including SSO and SaaS tool configurations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency through systems design and automation
• Manage data, security, and compliance processes while ensuring adherence to security standards
• Proactively monitor system health and participate in an on-call rotation for critical components
• Drive technology projects focused on delivering business value

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a IT Systems Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will own critical internal systems administration across the organization’s core collaboration, identity, and automation platforms. You will partner closely with IT Support, Security, and cross-functional business teams to improve reliability, streamline requests, and enable scalable ways of working. The position also focuses on strengthening access controls, compliance processes, and workflow automation in support of a modern, AI-enabled workplace.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $123,300 – $159,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary systems administrator for key tools and manage integrations with other platforms

• Proven track record administering core IT platforms such as identity, productivity, collaboration, source control, and messaging tools
• Experience managing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or GitOps
• AI-first mentality with experience enabling AI tools and related workflows
• Proficiency in building automations using identity and collaboration workflow tools
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management systems and protocols, including SAML, SCIM, LDAP, and OAuth 2.0/OIDC
• Understanding of security and compliance methodologies, including incident response processes
