Job summary

Southside Bank is seeking an IT Systems Engineer I to maintain system configurations, install systems, and enforce standards across physical and virtualized environments in Tyler, TX. You will support security, disaster recovery, and uptime while collaborating with IT Infrastructure Services to deliver enterprise projects.

The role requires at least an associate degree and hands-on experience with Windows Server, VMware, and SCCM/Intune; certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in computer or business-related field or equivalent education or experience.
• Minimum one year in systems infrastructure field with medium enterprise base preferred.
• Minimum one year Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop experience required, VMware experience preferred.
• Microsoft, Linux, or VMware Certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Intune, M365, Entra ID required.
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, network backup and recovery, and scripting.

• Monitor performance and plan upgrades, patches, and automation.
• Document policies, procedures and disaster recovery plans.
