MetroSys, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer I to join our Infrastructure Services team. This role focuses on maintaining and supporting Windows-based infrastructure while collaborating with senior engineers on server, virtualization, cloud, backup, and related projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments or enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365.
• Experience with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor and maintain enterprise infrastructure including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup systems.
• Assist with server provisioning, patch management, system upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
• Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and operational monitoring.
• Troubleshoot server, OS, virtualization, and infrastructure issues while escalating complex incidents as needed.
• Support backup operations, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity initiatives.
• Participate in vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and infrastructure compliance activities.
• Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with networking, security, cloud, and service desk teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call support as required.
