Job summary

Southside Bank is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to maintain system configurations, install and administer physical and virtualized systems, and enforce security standards. You will document compliance, lead enterprise technology projects, and ensure high availability across Microsoft and VMware environments.

The role supports a Tyler or Fort Worth campus and requires strong analysis, communication, and collaboration with IT colleagues to optimize performance and security in a regulated

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in computer or business-related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum one year in systems infrastructure field; medium enterprise base preferred.
• Experience with Windows Server/Desktop and VMware; certification preferred.
• Proficiency with SCCM, Intune, M365, Entra ID required.
• DNS, DHCP, backup/recovery, inventory, anti-virus, lifecycle management, and scripting experience.
• Understanding of Microsoft and VMware concepts; automation and imaging experience.
• Hands-on design, implementation, patching, and configuration of client/server systems.

Responsibilities

• Support systems infrastructure by maintaining configurations, installing systems, and enforcing standards.
• Administer physical and virtualized systems; ensure security, monitoring, and high availability.
• Document policies, procedures, and compliance artifacts; lead IT projects.
• Provide Level 2 support to team members and end-users; escalate to vendors as needed.
• Maintain performance metrics, incident response, and change management adherence.
• Collaborate across IT to optimize network and system performance, and disaster recovery plans.
