Job summary

Vercel is hiring an IT Systems Engineer for our San Francisco headquarters to design, build, and maintain automation workflows across core IT systems.

You’ll lead tool consolidation, improve vendor management, and collaborate with Security, Compliance, and People Operations to optimize cross-functional workflows while reducing tool sprawl. This hands-on role emphasizes automation, AI-assisted workflows, and proactive IT partnerships with teams.

Qualifications

• Fluent in scripting and APIs; strong automation mindset.
• Experience designing scalable IT systems and workflows.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve IT processes.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Hands-on, proactive approach to building and maintaining critical IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation workflows across core IT systems
• Lead tool consolidation and SaaS lifecycle improvements
• Own and improve vendor management processes including procurement, renewals, intake, and documentation
• Partner with Security, Compliance, and People Operations on cross-functional workflow optimization
• Build and maintain integrations between systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, MDM, and ITSM
• Contribute to IT documentation standards and reduce tech debt
