Job summary

Florida Department of Health’s Bureau of Vital Statistics seeks an IT professional to support the E-Vitals systems (EBRS/EDRS) and county networks. You will handle Tier 3 issues, manage AD accounts, oversee data compliance, and coordinate security monitoring with IT staff.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in IT and at least two years’ experience, in-office work, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. A background check and compliance with DOH policies are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and two years’ experience preferred.
• In-office position only.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined areas.
• Experience in computer systems analysis, testing, programming, or database management.
• Ability to gather requirements for software development.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 technical support for the E-Vitals help desk, resolving system access and connectivity issues.
• Install, upgrade and repair PC hardware, peripherals and desktop OS; ensure standard software is current.
• Administer DOH user accounts via Active Directory and manage machine accounts and security policies.
• Oversee data compliance and run data analysis and reports; coordinate data migration and archiving.
• Coordinate security alert responses with IT and verify Azure logs against user activity.
• Monitor Vitalchek and Lexis Nexis integrations and troubleshoot order activity.
• Assist in NX application server setup and document server builds.
• Perform other related duties as required.
