Job summary

Columbia External Careersite is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to maintain and improve the organization’s core infrastructure, including LAN/WAN/WLAN, servers, virtualization, unified communications, and call center platforms.

The role provides advanced technical support across networking and collaboration systems and works with stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and highly available technology services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or higher in a computer-related field is preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting networked systems in an enterprise environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, installation, configuration, administration, and ongoing support of LAN, WAN, WLAN, server, storage, virtualization, unified communications, and call center systems.
• Monitor infrastructure and network performance, optimize interfaces, VLANs, QoS, routing, and high-availability solutions.
• Secure infrastructure systems against threats including intrusion, malware, and service disruptions.
• Participate in disaster recovery technologies and procedures testing and maintenance.
• Administer and support enterprise phone systems, including VoIP and Teams Phone integrations.
• Manage phone system configuration: provisioning, numbers, extensions, routing, auto-attendants, hunt groups, queues, voicemail, and emergency calling.
• Provide admin support for Genesys: users, roles, skills, queues, routing policies, schedules, IVR.
• Support conference room AV design and operations.
• Support call center reporting, dashboards, and analytics on volumes, SLAs, and system availability.
• Provide 3rd-level escalation for infrastructure, UC, and call center issues.
