Job summary

VTG in Chantilly, VA seeks a senior IT systems engineer to support a hybrid-cloud mission infrastructure. You will provide Tier 2–4 support for technology products, configure VMware vCenter/NSX-T, maintain Linux and Windows servers, and manage AD, DNS, DFS, DHCP, and GPOs.

You will also build AWS-based Windows servers, enforce DISA STIGs, and work with Splunk, Check_MK, McAfee ePO, and BitLocker, coordinating projects in ServiceNow and documenting deployments for accreditation.

Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent; 8+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience delivering Tier 2–4 support for infrastructure and apps.
Strong Linux and Windows server administration skills.
Hands-on with VMware vCenter/NSX-T and VDI environments.
Proficiency with AD, DNS, DFS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Familiarity with DISA STIGs, Splunk, and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

Provide in-depth Tier 2–4 support and problem resolution for technology products, infrastructure, and applications.
Lead engineering activities involving Linux servers, Windows servers, storage, and virtualization.
Configure and maintain VMware vCenter and NSX-T environments.
Perform Tier 3 engineering for virtualization, virtual desktops, and automation.
Maintain AD, DNS, DFS, DHCP, and Group Policy; manage Windows servers in AWS.
Enforce security posture via DISA STIGs and work with Splunk, Check_MK, McAfee ePO, BitLocker.
Coordinate projects in ServiceNow and maintain system documentation and accreditation artifacts.
