Job summary

State of Alaska is seeking an IT System Administrator 1 in Juneau to provide daily support for site file and print servers, manage Active Directory, and deploy GPOs. Qualifications

• Mentally competent in using Windows Server and AD domain services.
• Familiar with scripting and automation to streamline tasks.
• Experience with on-premises IT operations and infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for site file and print servers, ensuring reliable access and routine maintenance.
• Perform core Active Directory tasks including account maintenance and group membership updates, using PowerShell to automate tasks.
• Author, test, and deploy GPOs to ensure secure and consistent configurations across the environment.
• Assist with entry-level datacenter administration such as basic server provisioning and system monitoring.
• Support WAN network operations by helping plan, deploy, and troubleshoot Ethernet and Wi-Fi at remote sites.
