Job summary

RiverWoods, a multi-site care community group in Northern New England, is seeking an IT System Administrator to support Exeter, Manchester, and Durham locations. The role is onsite with hybrid options and requires responsiveness to onsite needs.

You will design and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers, AD, VMs, networking, and cloud services. Travel in NH is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 2–5 years of systems administration experience.
• Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, M365, and Entra ID.
• VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms experience.
• Enterprise networking experience including routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls.
• PowerShell or scripting knowledge preferred; ability to document environments.
• Technical certifications are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for availability, performance, and security.
• Perform updates, patches, backups, and disaster-recovery testing.
• Develop automation and documentation; create SOPs and best practices.
• Collaborate with PMs, vendors, and internal teams on infrastructure projects.
• Serve as escalation point for complex issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in capacity planning, technology refreshes, and long-term planning.
• Mentor IT staff and participate in rotating on-call for after-hours support.
• Travel within New Hampshire to support locations as needed.
