Optima Overnight is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to cover infrastructure, security compliance, and hands-on hardware support across our warehouse network in New England.

You will be the primary technology resource, handling end-user support, deployments, and field visits, while contributing to SOC 2 compliance and policy enforcement. A strong candidate blends operational IT with strategic security planning.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• 4+ years in a Systems Administration or IT role spanning infrastructure and hands-on support
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls) and how they translate into day-to-day controls
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Experience with endpoint management/RMM platforms (Datto or equivalent)
• Experience with endpoint protection, email filtering and firewall configuration (Sophos)
• Solid network fundamentals: LAN/WAN, switches, VLANs and firewall management
• Comfortable deploying Windows PCs and peripherals
• Experience with warehouse technology: barcode scanners, printers and mobile devices
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout New England (firm requirement)
• Strong communication skills — comfortable with management, auditors and nontechnical staff

Responsabilidades

• Manage Microsoft 365 / Entra ID: user lifecycle, licensing and policies
• Administer Datto RMM: deployment, patching and remote support
• Manage Sophos: Endpoint, Email Filtering, Firewall administration
• Oversee Verkada cameras across locations
• Maintain network infrastructure: switches, VLANs, ISPs
• Administer VOIP system and file storage/backups
• Support SOC 2 compliance program with documentation and audits
• Coordinate with MDR team for alerts and incidents
• Deploy and support hardware across sites
• End-user support for hardware/software issues
• Procure IT hardware and manage licenses
• Lead technology projects and document IT procedures
• Provide CTO with roadmap recommendations
• Travel across New England to sites as needed
