Job summary

Strong and Hanni Law Firm, based in Salt Lake City, seeks an IT Systems Administrator for our in-office Salt Lake City operation. The role entails provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining systems hardware and software to meet firm needs.

The candidate will support Windows and Apple environments, manage infrastructure, and safeguard security and backups. Prior admin experience and familiarity with HI/Aruba networks and Zoom are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a systems administrator.
• Familiarity with document management systems.
• Experience with Zoom communications is preferred.
• Knowledge of Sophos Firewall and desktop antivirus.
• Hands-on experience with HP/Aruba networking hardware.
• Powershell proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on PCs, mobile devices, and network appliances.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows and Apple operating systems and tools.
• Proactively ensure high system and infrastructure availability.
• Provide effective written and verbal communication with team and vendors.
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and assist developers with fixes.
• Maintain security, backups, and redundancy strategies.
• Provide Help Desk support in person, email, phone, or remotely.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution.

IT Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware/software and related infrastructure. The individual will ensure that systems hardware, operating systems, software, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. This is a full-time, in-office position supporting our Salt Lake City office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on PCs, mobile devices, and network appliances like routers and switches
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows and Apple operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Proactively work to ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability
• Strong work ethic with polished verbal and written communication skills, and solid interpersonal and professional demeanor is imperative
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Provide Help Desk support in person, email, telephone, or remotely and escape when necessary
• Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
