Job summary

Archer Travel is seeking an IT Support & Web Specialist to be the first point of contact for technology across the agency. You will build and deploy workstations, manage desktops and peripherals, and maintain WordPress sites with patches and backups.

You’ll work with our engineering team, own the support function, and grow your technical depth with minimal hand-holding. This on-site role in Los Angeles offers hands-on variety and real ownership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT generalist with experience supporting internal staff.
• Strong ability to diagnose issues and provide clear guidance.
• Familiarity with WordPress updates, backups, and security patching.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT helpdesk contact for internal staff and agents.
• Build, image, deploy, and decommission computer workstations.
• Set up and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, docks, peripherals, printers, and phones.
• Handle physical installs and moves — running cables, mounting hardware, configuring desk stations.
• Track inventory of hardware, licenses, and equipment assignments.
• Manage user account provisioning and access requests.
• Answer inbound support calls as the main technical resource for our agent network.
• Diagnose and resolve issues over the phone with patience and clarity, including with non-technical callers.
• Log, categorize, and follow through on tickets until resolution.
• Escalate to engineering with clear, reproducible detail when an issue needs it.
• Spot recurring problems and flag them so we can fix root causes instead of symptoms.
• Build and maintain simple help documentation so common issues become self-serve.
• Maintain our WordPress sites: updates, plugins, backups, uptime, security patching.
• Build and modify pages, templates, and forms.
• Make front-end changes in HTML, CSS, and light PHP/JavaScr

Archer Travel is looking for a hands-on technical generalist to become the first point of contact for everything technology-related across our agency. You'll be the person our travel agents call when something isn't working, the person who gets a new workstation built and running, and the person who keeps our WordPress properties healthy and up to date.
