Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking an IT Support Technician to deliver first-level IT support across our offices and retail stores. You will assist employees with hardware and software issues, setup and image computers, manage AD accounts, and support our Windows environment.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, familiarity with Windows 10, AD, networking basics, and the ability to work both independently and in a team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Provide first-level IT support for all employees in-person, by phone, and via remote access.
• Support Retail POS hardware/software and work with POS vendor.
• Image, configure, and troubleshoot back-office computers and printers.
• Create and manage AD and Office 365 user accounts.
• Document IT processes and record devices in inventory.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level IT support for all employees in-person, by phone, and via remote access.
• Provide Retail POS system hardware support and software support with POS vendor.
• Install, image, configure, and troubleshoot back-office computers and printers.
• Perform preventative maintenance, tests, and repair of computer hardware.
• Create and manage user accounts in AD and Office 365, as well as other company systems.
• Create and maintain IT supporting documentation.
• Record and track all IT devices in our inventory database.
• Install appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components, and office applications.
• Participate in after-hours support rotation.
• Must have valid CT license and daily use of a reliable, insured vehicle for frequent travel to retail stores throughout Connecticut.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
