Job summary

State of Florida – FDOT is seeking a Computer Support Technician I to ensure IT equipment and services remain reliable for agency operations at FDOT District 1 in Bartow. You will handle service desk tickets, install and support PCs, and provide AV/VC assistance to meet service levels.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma with IT experience or related credentials; state benefits and a robust compensation package accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and Office in a network environment.
• Knowledge of PC hardware, software and firmware relevant to LAN/WAN.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Service Desk queue and resolve tickets; document work and resolutions.
• Install, configure, and support PCs and peripherals; perform upgrades and patches.
• Provide AV/VC support and assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate service calls and maintain records of maintenance and warranty repairs.
• Support software applications and participate in statewide OIT projects.
