Job summary

Florida State University Panama City is seeking an OPS/temporary IT Support Technician to assist faculty, staff and classrooms with computing services and help desk ticketing system management.

The role includes hardware/software support, classroom technology assistance, distance learning support, and on-site A/V setup for events. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of IT experience and be willing to learn while working in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to one year.
• Willingness to learn, aptitude for IT environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with documenting processes (new and existing).
• Experience prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
• Experience working successfully in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to comprehend technical documents and manuals.
• Ability to climb ladders and ability to lift and carry a minimum of 35lbs.
• A+ certification or experience that demonstrates equivalent knowledge.
• Experience with A/V equipment and various classroom technology.
• Strong communication skills and experience with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent IT support to the FSU Panama City faculty, staff and classrooms through a wide range of computing services and utilizing our help desk ticketing system.
• Provide computer support, including hardware troubleshooting, software installations, and printer troubleshooting.
• Assist with classroom technology and distance learning support.
• Assist with setup of A/V equipment for on-campus events.
