Job summary

Turner Industries in Baton Rouge, LA is looking for an IT Support Technician I to assist employees with incidents and service requests from start to finish, delivering friendly, reliable support. Responsibilities include loading and configuring standard images on new and existing computers, maintaining hardware/software inventories, and participating in on-call rotations.

Candidates need a high school diploma plus 6 months IT support experience, strong communications, and customer-service

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent plus 2 years of secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in an IT Support Role.
• Credentials preferred.
• Must be customer service minded and have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and background check; OSHA/TWIC/site safety knowledge is expected.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license required; must meet customer service standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; able to communicate effectively and organize workload.

Responsibilities

• Address users in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner; evaluate and prioritize requests.
• Document information in the service desk system to track calls, emails, and tasks.
• Load and configure the company standard image on computers; maintain hardware/software inventories.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of computers, peripherals and software; update records as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and follow supervisor directions for assignments.
