Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an IT Customer Service Representative to join the Baton Rouge, LA area. The role serves as the first point of contact for the IT Helpdesk, handling call intake, basic issue resolution, and ticket routing with a focus on friendly, reliable service.

Non-exempt position reporting to the IT Operations Support Manager. Candidates should have a high school diploma and customer-service experience; familiarity with Freshservice and Microsoft/Google tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent plus 2 years of secondary education or equivalent work experience
• Experience in IT Support, Service Dispatch, Customer Success, or high-volume customer-facing role (3+ months)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with troubleshooting networking or device workflows (email, chat, MDM)
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice) preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming requests; route tickets to appropriate IT queues
• Provide immediate, first-call resolution for core access issues (e.g., password resets)
• Document all interactions in Freshservice for tracking
• Assist maintaining inventory of user computers, peripherals, and software
• Adhere to company policies and maintain professional conduct
