Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an IT Customer Service Representative in the Baton Rouge, LA area to join our IT Helpdesk team. You will be the first contact for employees, handling intake, routing, and basic access issues with a focus on speed and accuracy.

This non-exempt role reports to the IT Operations Support Manager and requires a customer-service mindset, reliable attendance, and familiarity with Freshservice or similar ticketing systems. A Louisiana driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED with additional coursework or experience.
• Experience in IT support, service dispatch, or high-volume customer-facing roles.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; de-escalation ability required.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and basic tech workflows.
• Must be organized, reliable, and customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Answer and prioritize incoming calls and tickets for the IT Helpdesk.
• Act as first line of defense to route issues to the correct IT queues.
• Document interactions in Freshservice and track ticket status.
• Provide immediate, first-call resolution for core access issues when possible.
• Maintain inventory of user hardware and software assets as needed.
