Job summary

Turner Industries in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an IT Support Technician I to join our Information Technology team. You will provide technical assistance to Turner employees, acting as the main point of contact for incidents and service requests from start to finish.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of related education or experience, plus at least 6 months in IT support, strong customer service and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• Customer service minded professional with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass safety, background checks, and credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer, evaluate and prioritize incoming IT requests in the service desk.
• Load and configure standard image on PCs and laptops.
• Maintain inventory of computers, peripherals and software.
• Assist users with hardware and software issues and network questions.
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
