Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an End User Support Technician to provide hands-on IT support for approximately 30 users at their Maryland location. This role serves as the primary local IT resource, delivering exceptional customer service and technical support to end users while maintaining a reliable and efficient technology environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in desktop support, help desk, or end-user services.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows, hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Experience using a ticketing system and managing incidents through resolution.
• Hands-on device deployment, imaging, and hardware break/fix support.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and conferencing equipment.

• Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup, equipment provisioning, account support, and asset recovery.

Our client is seeking an End User Support Technician to provide hands‑on IT support for approximately 30 users at their Maryland location. This position is being added to ensure continuity of support as the organization transitions away from its current support partner. The successful candidate will serve as the primary local IT resource, delivering exceptional customer service and technical support to end users while maintaining a reliable and efficient technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop and end-user support for onsite employees.
• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests through the organization's ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, printer, mobile device, and peripheral issues.
• Perform break/fix support for laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and other end-user equipment.
• Provide both remote and hands‑on technical support to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Image, configure, deploy, and refresh desktop and laptop systems according to company standards.

Required Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with device deployment, imaging, and hardware break/fix support.

• Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and conferencing equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must be able to be onsite as needed. 6 month contract+

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Elkridge, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
