Job summary

City of Aspen seeks an IT Support Technician I or II to provide hardware and software support, deploy devices, maintain the City’s IT fiber network, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role covers on-site and remote meeting support, GIS/documentation duties, and collaboration across departments.

Evening and weekend availability is required for council meetings; extensive training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in IT or related field required for I level;Bachelor’s degree for II level.
• 1 year of IT support or related experience for I; 2 years for II.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and basic cybersecurity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial troubleshooting and customer support for IT requests.
• Deploy and manage PCs, mobile devices, and related equipment.
• Support on-site and remote audiovisual and meeting technology.
• Maintain IT infrastructure records and GIS-based documentation.
