Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Supervisor, IT Support to lead our global Service Desk from our Long Beach headquarters. The role oversees up to 10 IT staff, ensures SLA adherence, and drives regional IT projects while aligning with corporate goals.

You will mentor a high-performing team, document key processes, and collaborate with Cybersecurity, Launch, and Infrastructure groups. The position requires on-site work in California with some travel and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a support or service role with progressive responsibility.
• Leadership experience, even informal, like mentoring or training others.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like Jira, ServiceNow or similar, and experience in ITIL.
• Extensive technical expertise in at least four areas: Windows/Linux, PC hardware, Active Directory/GP, scripting, Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization/cloud.
• Experience delivering medium to complex, end-to-end IT projects from requirements to operation.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and ability to write prompts and evaluate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Service Desk, leading a team of up to 10 IT Support staff.
• Manage ticket queue, prioritization, timely resolution and SLA compliance.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and resolve escalated issues.
• Provide clear directions and guidance to the IT support team.
• Lead and execute regional IT projects and document policies.
• Mentor and develop IT professionals and coordinate shifts.
