Job summary

The City of Philadelphia is seeking a Technical Support Specialist for the Department of Fleet Services (DFS). The role supports desktop, mobile, endpoint management, and diagnostic technologies, including Microsoft Intune, AD/Entra ID, and Group Policy.

On-site work is required, with a strong focus on customer service and documentation. You will assist with device deployments, scripting, IT projects, and coordinating with Citywide IT to resolve complex issues, maintaining clear communication

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience providing network and application support to end users.
Experience administering Microsoft-based systems: Active Directory, GPOs, and related enterprise management.
Experience in a large government agency preferred.
Ability to pass a background check on hire.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable by IT Director.

Responsibilities

Provide 1st- and 2nd-level support for hardware, software, connectivity, and device issues.
Manage Windows endpoints via Microsoft Intune: enrollment, apps, configuration, compliance, troubleshooting.
Administer Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) including user, computer, and group management.
Assist with Group Policy troubleshooting, testing, and deployment for Fleet devices and users.
Support Windows 10/11 deployments, updates, patching, and lifecycle management.
Document IT procedures and participate in IT projects and vendor coordination.
