Job summary

Focused Energy is hiring an IT Support Specialist in Austin to keep employees connected, equipped, and secure while advancing fusion technology. You will be the primary IT contact for daily needs and own problem resolution from first contact through completion.

You will manage imaging, device provisioning, MFA enforcement, and asset tracking, while collaborating with the Senior IT Manager and IT Director on cross-site initiatives and security projects to sustain a scalable IT foundation for FE's

Qualifications

• Hands-on end-user IT support experience in a fast-paced, growing organization.
• Ownership mindset: resolve tickets independently and escalate only when needed.
• Experience imaging, asset tracking, patching, troubleshooting, and maintaining reliable endpoints.
• Understanding IAM including onboarding/offboarding, access provisioning and revocation, MFA enforcement.
• Knowledge of IT security controls such as EDR, DLP, vulnerability/patch management, and secure access practices.
• Familiar with ITIL processes: incident, request, and change management.
• Documentation-focused: maintain support processes, FAQs, asset records, and handover notes.
• Ability to contribute to IT projects like cloud migrations, DLP initiatives, or EDR rollouts.
• Proactive communication and ownership of status updates with users.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day IT support for employees in Austin.
• Lead device lifecycle: imaging, configuration, inventory tracking, and patching.
• Drive onboarding/offboarding: account setup, access provisioning, device readiness, revocation with People Operations.
• Ensure IT documentation is accurate and self-serve by updating support processes and FAQs.
• Build and enforce security baseline, MFA, access reviews, and device patching.
• Improve the support environment through issue analysis and IT improvement projects (cloud migrations, DLP, EDR).
• Collaborate with the Senior IT Manager and IT Director on cross-site coordination and vendor relationships.
• Deliver a high-quality support experience reflecting FE's cross-functional culture.
