Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver day-to-day technical support for end users and ensure reliable operation of IT systems and infrastructure in our Lorton, VA facility.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot user issues, maintain network connectivity, assist with workstation setup, and manage IT assets. Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support or help desk experience.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows-based systems and common business applications.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I/II technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot user account issues and reset passwords.
• Diagnose workstation, application, and connectivity problems.
• Track and manage IT equipment inventory and asset records.
• Document support requests and resolutions in ticketing systems.
