Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to manage Windows and Linux servers, AD, storage, and network services across classified and unclassified environments.

The role emphasizes IA, patching, backups, and disaster recovery, with responsibilities extending to secure communications equipment and encryption devices. The ideal candidate holds a DoD security clearance or eligibility, strong Windows background, and experience with MDT/SCCM and RMF/NIST controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related technical field; or bachelor’s degree in non-related field accepted with adequate training and experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience working in an IA-related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in System Administration.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or ISC2 CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer Windows Active Directory infrastructure.
• Manage Linux-based systems.
• Install/patch operating systems, applications, and antivirus updates.
• Plan, implement, and test backups; maintain disaster recovery plans.
• Document system deployments and configurations; provide end-user support for both Classified and Unclassified environments.
