Job summary

State of New York is seeking a technology support professional to join our IT services team. The role covers desktop, printer, and peripheral support, with collaboration across departments to ensure service quality.

Qualifications include at least 2 years in a tech support role, an IT-related degree (preferred), and strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Some travel within New York state may be required.

Qualifications

• Able to work under tight deadlines and travel periodically within New York state.

Job description

Qualifications:

• At least two (2) years of experience in a technology support position within a large organization.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant information technology field is preferred.
• A well-rounded skillset in the following technical areas:
• Support and maintenance of IT systems, including printers and other related peripheral devices
• Microsoft Windows 11
• Microsoft 365 Suite, including strong skills in Microsoft Desktop Applications
• Adobe products, including Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with networking hardware, VMware, and Microsoft SharePoint a plus
• Self-motivated to deliver an excellent customer/end user experience.
• The ability to communicate complex IT information clearly and accessibly to a variety of audiences and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to function as an integral part of a team and independently.
• Capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Available for periodic travel in New York state.
