Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist III in Tallahassee. You will provide systems administration and 1st tier support within the TAC, handling intake, classification, troubleshooting, and escalation of IT requests.

Join a team responsible for frontline IT services across the department and liaising with the TAC vendor as needed. The role requires CJIS clearance and background checks as part of employment.

Responsibilities

• This position reports to the Technical Assistance Center Distributed Computer Systems Administrator within the Bureau of Service Support and is responsible for providing systems administration and 1st tier support within the Technical Assistance Center which provides front line support for all of the Department's IT needs to include, proper intake of all support requests, correct classification of support requests, timely troubleshooting and diagnosis of support requests and accurate escalation.
• This position may also act as the Department's Technical Assistance Center (TAC) vendor liaison.
