Roanoke-Chowan Community College is seeking an Information Technology Support Staff member to deliver technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students. The role focuses on maintaining hardware and software, handling help desk requests, and ensuring reliable IT services across college systems.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in CS/IT and strong communication skills, with a commitment to excellent customer service and confidentiality of information.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting hardware and software in an educational environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Respond to technical support inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
• Assist users with hardware and software issues and troubleshoot to resolution.
• Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide basic training on new technologies or software applications.
• Document technical processes, procedures, and inventory accurately.
• Coordinate with the Director of Information Systems.
• Assist with network administration tasks.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
