City of Grand Rapids seeks an IT Support Specialist to deliver desktop support for Environmental Services Department users, coordinating with City IT to ensure fully functional workstations and peripherals. This role also acts as the application administrator or liaison for department-specific software.
The incumbent will participate with various teams, analyze operations, and support planning and budgeting through information systems. This vacancy is within the Environment Services department.
The purpose of this job is to provide technical, desktop support to the Environmental Services Department (ESD) users regarding the City's IT and Water/Wastewater SCADA environments. The IT Support Specialist (ITSS) is responsible for coordinating and liaising with City IT to ensure that user workstations are fully functional and meet defined requirements, including all peripherals. The ITSS is also the application administrator and/or liaison for department-specific applications.
