Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a Computer User Support Specialist – Intermediate to support Army Materiel Command at Redstone Arsenal. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, manage requests with a ticketing system, and provide both remote and on-site support as needed.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of IT help desk or desktop support experience, an active Secret clearance, and strong knowledge of Windows, AD, and security controls suitable for a mission-focused

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• 4+ years of professional IT end-user/desk-side support experience.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, OS, and peripheral issues.
• Experience with Help Desk, Tier 2 support, or System Administration support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of user account administration, system configuration, and basic networking concepts.
• Knowledge of information security principles, practices, protocols, and standards.
• Ability to work within SLAs.
• Experience with Trellix HBSS/ESS, Horizon VDI, SharePoint, TCP/IP, and Active Directory.
• Previous enterprise IT System Administrator experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, and end-user issues.
• Configure and maintain end-user devices (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners).
• Perform OS configuration, user administration, and backup/recovery activities.
• Create/modify/delete user accounts per policy.
• Provide remote and on-site support; troubleshoot and repair when needed.
• Guide users on IT processes and procedures; communicate effectively with customers.
• Coordinate IT support activities to meet SLAs and ensure timely resolutions.
• Adhere to information security policies and standards.
