Job description

This is NOT REMOTE

Talis Group’s client, a national leader in the food & beverage industry for over 100 years, is seeking an IT Support Specialist for their facility in Austin, IN. This role provides technical assistance and support to end-users or customers facing hardware, software, and technology related issues. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to plant personnel and remote users, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems.

This role is 100% on-site. Monday - Friday 1:30pm – 10:00pm.

Salary range: $65 – 70K plus generous benefits package.

HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with PCs, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Perform software installations, maintenance, security patching, and configuration adjustments.
• Run and install network, phone, and video cabling as needed.
• Deploy and set up new PCs, laptops, printers, and other endpoint devices.
• Maintain and manage inventory of IT equipment, spare parts, and peripherals.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on IT hardware and ensure security compliance.
• Analyze and recommend improvements for IT equipment, software, and processes.
• Ensure software policy compliance to maintain security and operational integrity.
• Work with other departments to resolve technical challenges and complete projects.
• Assist users in better utilizing their IT equipment and software.
• Document processes and maintain technical documentation.

HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant experience in computer support and/or a combination of education and training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft-based environments.
• Networking and system management experience.
• Experience in a corporate IT environment preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift heavy objects such as printers, TVs, and cabinets as needed.
• Willingness to operate man lifts or boom lifts in elevated environments when required.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
