Last Energy in Austin, TX seeks a Helpdesk Technician to support day-to-day IT needs at a fast-growing, DOE-regulated nuclear startup. You will handle user support, onboarding, and device provisioning while working with a lean IT team in a compliance-driven environment.

The role extends beyond traditional helpdesk duties, often involving tasks from Systems Administrators or Security Analysts as you own your work, research solutions, and drive results.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of hands-on IT support/helpdesk experience.
• Strong self-teaching and research skills; AI tools as an aid.
• Windows and macOS environments; basic DNS/DHCP/VPN knowledge.
• Experience with Google Workspace administration and MDM preferred.
• Enthusiastic about being on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for day-to-day IT support tickets, troubleshooting independently before escalating.
• Own new hire onboarding and device lifecycle: provisioning, imaging, enrollment, inventory.
• Administer user accounts, access, and endpoint compliance across Google Workspace and devices.
• Document recurring issues and solutions, building internal knowledge base.
• Other duties as assigned.
