Job summary

Information Management Group Inc. (IMG) is seeking a motivated IT Support/Network Technician to join our Fairfax, VA team. You will ensure employees have secure access, support IT and network infrastructure, and assist with cybersecurity and compliance across onsite and remote locations.

You will re-image devices, tag assets, and configure new hires while maintaining accurate inventories and documentation. Travel to regional sites is expected for cabling, testing, and network activities.

Qualifications

• :Active Secret or L security clearance required
• Experience with imaging, deploying computers per standard builds
• Asset tagging, staging, and verifying access and connectivity
• Knowledge of equipment lifecycle, wiping, sanitization, retirement and security procedures
• Maintain IT asset inventories, serial numbers, and spare equipment
• In-person end-user support and ticket documentation
• Basic networking: IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, switches/routers
• Comfort with hardware upgrades and component replacement
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in tight spaces

Responsibilities

• Re-image and deploy laptops/desktops per standard build
• Asset-tag, configure, and stage new equipment for hires
• Wipe, sanitize, retire old devices per policy
• Maintain current inventory: assets, serials, assignments, spares
• Respond to in-person help requests and tickets
• Replace failed hardware components
• Support conference room AV and printers/scanners
• Assist new hires with first-day setup and access
• Keep network documentation and labeling up to date
• Provide end-users with best-practice guidance
• Travel 20-30% to DC, Pittsburgh, Albany for network support
