SUZUKI CANADA INC is seeking an in-person IT support professional to install, configure, and maintain our network infrastructure. The role involves administering virtual servers, monitoring performance, and assisting end users with connectivity and application issues.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of IT support experience, solid networking knowledge, Linux command-line skills, and familiarity with firewall configuration.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Hands-on IT support experience (4+ years preferred).
• Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line tools.
• Proficient in diagnosing network issues and providing technical support.
• Experience with firewall setup, routing, and security controls.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar network administration platforms.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support network hardware and software infrastructure.
• Administer and maintain virtual servers using VMware.
• Monitor network performance and review error logs.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, system, and application issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy network solutions.
• Provide end-user technical assistance for network-related problems.
• Strengthen network protection by configuring firewall rules and routers.
• Support PC hardware and software issues and perform routine maintenance.

• Hands-on experience with network administration platforms such as ServiceNow
• Proven ability to diagnose network issues and deliver technical support
• Familiarity with firewall setup, routing, and security controls

• Solid grasp of computer hardware and its core components

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support network hardware and software infrastructure
• Administer and maintain virtual servers using VMware
• Track network performance and review error logs
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, system, and application issues
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy network solutions
• Deliver technical assistance to end users for network-related problems
• Strengthen network protection by applying firewall rules and configuring routers and firewalls
• Provide PC support and troubleshooting
• Carry out routine maintenance, including backups and updates
• Record network setups and procedural documentation
• Maintain software licensing compliance
• Administer user and email accounts for approximately 65 users
• Manage authentication, VPN access, and file permissions
• Support SQL Server database administration
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning
