Job description

We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a competent individual with outstanding diagnostic and problem-solving skills. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting and improving the network’s functions.

The goal is to create and sustain a well-functioning and reliable network to ensure the unobtrusive operation of business.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to staff IT needs via helpdesk ticket or via phone request, quickly assess the technical support needed, and find a solution
• Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions
• Perform computer repair services such as motherboard replacements, hard drive replacements, operating system reinstalls, virus removals, and ordinary computer troubleshooting and repair services
• Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling
• Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs
• Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices
• Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement
• Do regular data backups to protect the organization’s information

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate degree major in Computer Science or relevant field preferred
• Minimum 3 years proven experiences as network technician required
• Basic knowledge of all current releases of Windows Operating System, Google Workspace (GSuite), Microsoft Office 365 Applications
• Knowledge of VPN, firewalls, and wireless technologies
• Ability to perform Virus/Malware/Spyware detection and removal and be familiar with common removal software
• Working knowledge and a strong grasp of networking principles such as LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP, DNS, Windows Networking, Network Printing, Internet Routing
• Experience with IP phones systems and or IP camera systems a plus
• Must be available to work in the office Mondy through Friday and be available for rotating on-call shifts on holidays and weekends
