You will lead hands-on desktop and Mac support, Google Workspace migrations, and Okta-based authentication across domains, while guiding a small team and coordinating with DevOps. Report to the COO and drive SOC 2 readiness and ISO-aligned policies with a patient, high-touch approach for executives.

Qualifications

• Must have desktop/help desk troubleshooting, SSO, Mac support, and Google Workspace expertise.
• Experience supporting executives with a high-touch service mindset.
• Self-directed, adaptable, and able to work through ambiguity.
• AI fluent with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Cursor/Grok.
• Startup background preferred; Series A/C experience or large tech background ok.

Responsibilities

• Resolve Google Workspace migration challenges.
• Address IT backlog with ~10 open issues and ~5 critical items.
• Support dual-domain Okta setup impacting new-hire onboarding.
• Provide patient, high-touch IT support for executive team.
• Address offboarding: ensure access-cut processes and security.
• SOC 2 readiness work; ISO already in place.

• Strong with Google Workspace, Mac/PC support, networking and troubleshooting
• Comfortable supporting executives with a high-touch service mindset

• AI-forward and comfortable using modern tools to improve IT operations

Environment

Mostly MacBooks + some PCs; Google Workspace (mid-migration from Microsoft/Outlook); Okta SSO across two domains.

Key Skills

• Must: desktop/help desk troubleshooting, SSO, Mac support, Google Workspace
• Not required: network engineering (separate team owns this)
• AI fluency: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor/Grok (enterprise licenses, no data-training risk)
• Best fit: startup background (1 300 employees, Series A C); big tech okay as secondary

Team & Scope

• Direct reports: 1 junior IT engineer (onsite), 1 IT engineer (Bangalore, ~3 wks in)
• Indirect: DevOps engineer (Beijing, 0.5 IT time), DevOps lead (co-located onsite)
• ~194 users globally across 6+ locations
• Reports to COO

Immediate Priorities

• Resolve Google Workspace migration challenges
• Work through IT request backlog (~10 open, ~5 critical)
• Assess and recommend improvements where needed
• Support dual-domain Okta setup complicating new-hire onboarding
• Provide patient, high-touch support for executive team
• Address offboarding gap (access-cut request execution) - top current security risk
• SOC 2 targeted in 4 weeks; ISO already in place

Compliance

• Own SOC 2 point of contact role; maintain existing ISO processes
• Build IT policies, security backup, and data retention procedures from scratch
• Tools: Jamf, MAS360 (surface-level familiarity fine.
