Job summary

The position is a work-study, part-time on-site role with responsibilities across end-user support, labs, and documentation. Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technology device problems.
• Knowledge of local area networks, TCP/IP, and software installations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft OS and Office.
• Previous experience providing clerical or administrative support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT Services personnel with end user support, equipment installation, and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain and monitor campus computer labs as needed.
• Answer email and telephone inquiries and work under pressure.
• Log all support interactions in the IT ticketing system.
• Track and route problems and requests to appropriate levels.
• Research solutions and document internal procedures to populate knowledge base.
• Monitor daily open tickets in the Helpdesk Queue.
• Escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
• Follow up with customers and see issues through to resolution.
• Other duties as assigned.
