Job summary

Intermountain Health in Logan, UT seeks an IT Intern to learn and support computer systems within the DTS/CFS department. You will gain hands-on experience resolving basic issues and logging steps in the ITIL ticketing system.

Under supervision you will assist with deploying and maintaining devices, follow security policies, and contribute to small projects while developing professional IT skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong research, organizational and analytical skills as well as the ability to teach users.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a graceful and sensitive manner.
• Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service-oriented environment.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications.
• Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve minor computer issues under supervision.
• Document notes and resolutions in the ITIL ticketing system.
• Update staff on status of projects, incidents, and service requests.
• Respond to messages according to priority.
• Support new and existing systems and stay current with technology changes.
• Implement enterprise security policies (hardware and software).
• Identify solutions and perform tasks to meet team goals.
• Learn department/facility functions.
• Participate in projects supporting department needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
