Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, Utah offers an internship in Digital Technology Systems – DFS support at Intermountain Medical Center. The intern assists with tasks and projects to learn the department’s functions and support enterprise IT needs.

Candidates gain exposure to ITIL processes and daily ticket handling while supporting hardware, software, and security practices under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong research, organizational and analytical skills as well as the ability to teach users.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a graceful and sensitive manner.
• Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service-oriented environment.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications.
• Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of team members, they learn to resolve minor computer issues.
• Adequately documents notes and resolution to issues in ITIL ticketing system.
• Updates support staff regularly on the status of projects, incidents, service requests.
• Responds to messages according to priority schedule.
• Under the direction of team members, they learn to support new and existing systems while keeping abreast of technology changes.
• Under the direction of team members, implements enterprise defined security policies (hardware and software).
• Works with team members to identify solutions and perform tasks that accomplish individual and team goals.
• Gains knowledge of the department’s / facility’s functions.
• Under the direction of team members, the CFS Intern is involved in a variety of projects that support the needs of the department / facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
