Per Scholas in St. Louis is seeking a dynamic IT Support Technical Instructor to deliver Per Scholas’ structured curriculum and prepare adults for entry to mid-level tech careers. The role emphasizes hands-on teaching, assessment, and collaboration with program teams.

The position requires 1+ year of teaching and IT experience, proficiency with Salesforce and Canvas, and the ability to adapt curricula as technologies evolve to meet industry needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• At least 1 year of IT work experience.
• Experience with curriculum, syllabus development and lesson planning a plus.
• Ability to explain and clarify complex topics to students from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to connect real-life work scenarios to the teaching environment.
• Ability to help students apply professional skills in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom training in an interactive style for entry-level to mid-level IT careers.
• Provide daily instruction, assessment, attendance, tutoring, and progress monitoring.
• Manage student behavior and enforce program policies in collaboration with peers.
• Collaborate with Senior Director to evolve curriculum as new technologies emerge.
• Maintain Salesforce and Canvas with grades, certifications, and progress notes.
• Advise students on career opportunities and suitable roles based on skills and credentials.
• Create, submit, and maintain training curricula for approval and records.
