Per Scholas in Detroit is seeking a dynamic IT Support Technical Instructor to deliver the structured curriculum in full-time training. You will teach adults for entry- to mid-level IT roles, manage attendance, assess progress, and help learners prepare for careers in technology.

The role requires at least 1 year of teaching and IT work experience, plus certifications like A+, Network+, and Google IT Support. Salary target is $70,000/year with strong benefits and remote options are not specified.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of teaching experience.
At least 1 year of IT work experience.
Experience with curriculum, syllabus development and lesson planning.
Ability to connect real-life work scenarios to the teaching environment.
Experience with student assessment; ability to evaluate curriculum effectiveness.
Current A+ certification (Current Edition 1001-1002).
Google IT Support Professional Certificate.
Network+ Certification.
Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom training in an interactive style for entry- to mid-level IT careers.
Provide daily instruction, attendance, tutoring, evaluation, and progress monitoring.
Maintain student records in Salesforce and Canvas; track grades and certifications.
Collaborate with Program team to evolve curriculum as technologies change.
Advise students on career tracks and opportunities in IT fields.
Coordinate with staff to ensure program integrity across sites.
