Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking an IT Support instructor to join our Training Team across states. You will lead daily instruction, assess student progress, track performance, and provide tutoring to ensure learners achieve entry- to mid-level IT careers.

Strong teaching ability, IT fundamentals, and experience with Windows, Linux, and networking are essential. The role emphasizes hands-on support, curriculum maintenance, and effective use of digital tools like Zoom, Salesforce, and LMS platforms.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of teaching or training experience
• Ability to respond clearly to live digital conversations via Zoom or in-person
• Proficient understanding of IT fundamentals: hardware, software, networking
• Familiarity with Windows, MacOS and Linux
• Experience troubleshooting common IT issues
• Proficient with IT tools including ticketing, remote desktop and diagnostics
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services
• Understanding of IT best practices and SLAs
• Experience with desktops, laptops and peripherals
• OS installation and configuration knowledge (Windows/Linux/macOS)
• Networking: wired/wireless setup and troubleshooting
• Mobile device management across Android/iOS
• Windows Server environment and AD/DHCP/DNS
• Group Policy management
• RAID and storage concepts
• Backup strategies on Windows Server
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Strong technical aptitude with Google Sheets/Excel, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom
• Excellent written communication, presentation and customer service
• Strong evaluation and data management skills
• 3+ years IT support experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led IT training from entry to mid level
• Maintain Salesforce / LMS records: grades, scores, progress
• Support curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom materials
• Engage students and provide one-on-one tutoring as needed
