Job summary

AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas seeks an IT Support Specialist to maintain and administer technology infrastructure across multiple venues. The role goes beyond helpdesk to include network and infrastructure tasks, procurement, and security compliance.

The successful candidate will work with staff, visiting production companies, and end-users in a fast-paced environment, with some evenings, weekends, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and IT support experience.
• Experience supporting PCs/Macs and troubleshooting hardware, printers, and mobile devices.
• Familiarity with network components: switches, firewalls, servers, VOIP, wireless access points.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Exchange; Active Directory and Microsoft Teams; Hyper‑V a plus.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices.
• Experience with tools like Trello, Smartsheet, PDQ, TeamViewer, and VPN clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote end-user support; troubleshoot hardware, software, VOIP, and mobile devices.
• Configure and install desktops, laptops, and related equipment; manage OS updates and cybersecurity tools.
• Coordinate in-person or remote repairs, including after-hours availability during performances.
• Serve as first point of contact for IT support requests; manage tickets from intake to resolution.
• Assist with network switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers; diagnose fiber runs and wireless deployments.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
• Coordinate IT projects, maintain system documentation, and identify inefficiencies.
