Job summary

MKT Metal Manufacturing is seeking an IT Support / Help Desk Technician to provide day-to-day technical support to employees and assist the Director of Information & Industrial Technology with maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient technology across the organization.

This role serves as the first point of contact for IT issues and will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, phone, and user-access problems, while assisting with deployment, onboarding, system documentation,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support or help desk experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows-based computers.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, VPNs).
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical employees.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel between locations occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee IT support requests.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, software, printer, phone, and network issues.
• Provide remote and in-person support at York, PA and Wilson, NC facilities.
• Document support requests and resolutions; escalate when needed.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, inventory, and cybersecurity practices.
• Support Microsoft 365 user administration and account management.
• Assist with network and infrastructure support under IT Director guidance.
• Maintain IT documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
