Job summary

Veranova is seeking an IT Support Engineer to ensure site infrastructure performance and provide local on-site support aligned with Veranova IT policies.

You will configure and support Windows-based hardware, Azure services, VMware, and backup environments (Veeam/Datto) across local and cloud-based infrastructure, while contributing to regional projects and BIS service improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field with 3–5 years of IT experience.
• Experience with Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft Azure/AD, Veeam, VMware, EntraID, Intune, Teams/Teams Phone, Exchange, SharePoint and mobile tech.
• Solid understanding of hardware dependencies and networks in a mixed IT environment.
• IT qualification or significant IT experience preferred.
• Experience in a Pharmaceutical GxP regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain local, remote, and cloud infrastructure including servers, workstations, printers, and networking equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with end-user applications and operating systems.
• Support Azure-based environments, EntraID, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and related portals.
• Maintain VMware environments and backup/restore with Veeam and Datto.
• Perform basic operations duties like backups, server restarts, and patching.
• Contribute to BIS service improvements and new BIS services delivery.
• Undertake any other duties within skills and abilities as instructed.

IT Support Engineer

The IT Support Engineer will ensure infrastructure across the site or collection of sites is performing to standard. Provide local on-site support for availability management and global/regional project implementation activity ensuring local infrastructure delivers to business expectations (SLA) while remaining fully aligned to Veranova IT Policies.

Core Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support local, remote, and cloud-based infrastructure, including Servers, computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, meeting room equipment, local area networking, WIFI, and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues associated with end user-based application software, multi-user applications (where unique to site) and operating systems.
• Support/Maintain Azure based environments and administrative portals including, EntraID, Intune, SharePoint, Teams/Teams Phones, Exchange, and Purview.
• Support/Maintain Enterprise based Virtual Hypervisor environments (VMware)
• Support/Maintain Enterprise based Backup/Restore and DR environments (Veeam, Datto)
• Carry out basic systems operation duties requiring local hands and eyes support, including back-up management, supervised server restarts, LAN patching, and cabinet management.
• Contribute to project teams in the improvement of current BIS services and development and delivery of new BIS services.
• To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 3–5 years of relevant IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Experience of working with the following technologies: Windows Desktop Operating systems, Microsoft Azure and AD, Veeam Backup and Recovery, VMware Virtual Server environments, Microsoft EntraID, Intune, Team and Teams Phone, Exchange, SharePoint and Mobile Technology (iPhone/Android).
• Working knowledge of desktop, laptop, server and printer computer hardware dependencies and relationships of networks, phones, mobile devices, PC’s operation systems, databases and applications used in the Veranova environment.
• Holder of a recognized IT qualification or has significant IT experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a Pharmaceutical GxP regulated environment is preferred.

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000. This range represents a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In exceptional cases, compensation may exceed the stated range.

All full-time employees are eligible to participate in our annual incentive bonus program. Bonus targets vary by career level and are based on individual and company performance.
