Job summary

Veranova in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to repair, calibrate, install and maintain equipment to ensure proper operations across two sites. This hands-on role supports production uptime, safety, and facility upkeep in line with GMP and site SOPs.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years of maintenance experience, HVAC system knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. Travel between locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to production flow by minimizing downtime due to equipment failures.

• Implements preventive maintenance schedules under supervision of maintenance/facility leads.
• Assists with calibration activities as directed.
• Recommends replacement of equipment and inputs to spare-part inventory.
• Obtains work permits and handles confined spaces, hot works, and line breaks.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Role Overview

The Senior Maintenance Technician is a hands-on position whose duties include assisting with repairing, maintaining, adjusting, calibrating and installing equipment to ensure proper operations. In addition, activities related to facility upkeep and activities related to maintaining the two sites in good working order.

Core Responsibilities

• Contributes to production flow by minimizing downtime due to equipment or parts failures.
• Performs facility maintenance activities within site safety policies and contributes to facility appearance.
• Under the direction of the maintenance / facility leads, perform required tasks to ensure the implementation of the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Assists with calibration activities as directed.
• Recommends replacement of equipment when necessary, and provides input to the critical spare part list, to be added to inventory.
• Assists in obtaining work permits, confined space issues, hot works, and line breaks.
• May perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 7+ years of Maintenance related experience required
• 3+ years in a regulated industry preferred
• Experience in maintaining HVAC systems required
• Basic knowledge of specialty chemicals / Pharmaceutical manufacturing and mechanical parts, equipment, tools, and supplies is preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and comply with work instructions; assigned SOP’s and GMP guidelines; blueprints and vendor drawings.
• Must be able to maintain good relationships with co-workers and internal customers.
• Overtime may be required to ensure production schedules are met.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear; climb ladders, reach, and kneel.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100Ibs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision; color perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
• Travel between locations is required.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $40-44/hr. This range represents a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In exceptional cases, compensation may exceed the stated range.

All full-time employees are eligible to participate in our annual incentive bonus program. Bonus targets vary by career level and are based on individual and company performance.
